Bing for Android now lets you search by image

Himanshu, 03 June, 2016

Microsoft has pushed out a new update to the Android app of its Bing search engine. According to the change-log, the update includes a handful of changes, including the ability to search by image.

With the update, now you can perform searches based on a picture taken from within the app - in results, Bing will display similar images available online. The feature is already there in Bing's iOS app.

In addition, the update also brings along a feature called 'Touch query,' which the company says lets you get "new suggestions for image and video search by tapping the separate words." Aside from these, the updated app provides you image insights (more information on the image you look) and features a barcode scanner as well.
