i have one of these already from the US that Blackberry gave to me at the release conference, i dont know how they can say its 4G compatable as they havent released their 4G BB yet but i have to say its amazing.
the tethering means you have the reliability of bluetooth and none of the problems. Easy to synch, easy to use, no extra data tariffs.
But i would say that the networks will need to increase the 500mb fair usage policies on contracts as when you add this to your blackberry your internet usage could soar through the roof as its so hard to put down again! and encourages streaming!
we will be distributing these in the UK for Blackberry in 3 weeks time and the preorder list is stupid.
also the menu bar is hidden and you tap the black border to make the menus pop out the side of the screen to limit space, its pretty ingeniously put together so as a business tool and play thing its works superbly.
Laid next to an Ipad2 its actually faster at changing between apps!
i cant belive how excited i was after using this, tablets are nothing new anymore so wasent really bothered, but this playbook, this is new! genious! the blackberry device bridge is superb!

"Tablet with no support for GSM voice communication, SMS, and MMS"
And then it says:
GENERAL 2G Network GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900
I don't get it.

The ipad 2 does not have a 2Ghertz processor!!! ...in fact it only has a 900 Mhertz processor where as the playbook has a dual core 1 Ghertz processor!!...and has flash!! .....so if you want something for browsing the internet and emails, plus being 100% companable with your bussnesses blackberry phones get the playbook!... if you want something that is user friendly For just playing your apps and games around the house get an ipad!....i would also like to pointout that blackberry is super secure everything is encrypted to a rediculous level! Encluding the blue tooth signal, so you dont have to worrie about someone snatching your data out of the air when you link your phone and playbook together!
