I’ve been a fan of SE and Nokia for long before I switched to WM 5.0 devices for the push mail features it offered. I was scared to touch blackberry because the earlier devices felt like a slice of Brown bread to your ear if you used it as a phone. But the new generation like 7130g is fantastic. Typing using Suretype technology is fantastic. T9 pales in comparison. And if you use the Autotext effectively, texting is a breeze. No other phone can even come near suretype for texting. I have used the E series of Nokia for blackberry and I must admit they were good especially the E61 with its big screen and WiFi. But after using BB’s own device 7130g for BIS, I must admit that it is a class of it’s own from the BB-enabled devices. The keypad is great, the screen is good. The speaker phone clarity is astounding. I like the fact that when you put it in the holster it goes into standby mode saving on battery life. Battery life is good. Click wheel based menu system is so easy to use albeit I will say it is not a one-handed phone. Bluetooth data transfer is not so easy as in other Nokia or SE phones. Missing camera is not such a big thing on business phones and it is better than leaving it in the front desks of most offices due to security reasons.

I wish BB offers WiFi on all its phones soon. And having a music player on phones is not a crime even for business men (BB Pearl has it though). All work and no play……..

Following is my wishlist for BB phones:

• WiFi
• Full fledged Bluetooth
• A2DP
• Unlocked phones (meaning we could use it with any service provider as a general phone and not just for BB since SMS texting has increased tremendously)
• POP3 multiple mail access
• General Browser and not just pushed one
• More 3rd party software

I took me just a week to get familiarize myself with the Sure Text. This is brilliant technology. Slim stye plus all the features makes this the best Blackberry out there - in my opinion.

As an experienced BlackBerry user here's my two cents:

                    Pros:
                    Email and synching.
                    Phone is alright.
                    Suretype.

                    Cons:
Feels cheap when holding in my hand.
Internet and using it as a modem can be very sllooowww and at times freezes up. Tethering and web browsing was a breeze on the 7130e compared to this piece of junk. Edge cannot stack up against EV-DO with speed despite the difference in networks-CDMA vs GSM.

I want a good phone/pda when it comes to cellphones. Worst BlackBerry I have ever owned.

A great mobile phone indeed it's feature just blow competitors its a gadget belongs to the top rated collection a must have, a recommended one.

A perfect mobile in its stylish design but with one bad thing the menu button in the middle should be a metallic joystick it would have added some flexibility in my openion!.. no doubt the designer did a wonderful job its almost perfect, a must have.

                            My only issue...
                            =================

Why do Blackberries just NEVER come with a card-slot? I could really use it! You have heaps of documents to sort trough it just isn't cool to sync via bluetooth...and with a few PDF's and stuff here and there, memory is used up.

It also shouldn't be too much to ask for an MP3 player at least... even a business man could use a music player on long train- or plane trips. Come on...

I currently have the 7105t from T-Mobile.. From what I can see this handset has more advanced features such as the light sensor (I cant see my screen in direct sunlight), the new MP3 capabilities which is good because even though its a business phone, it still needs the capacity to play songs, real songs. I also love the new slim looks that Blackberry phones are starting to take on... Its like an evolution or something. I am planning on buying this phone or the Sidekick 3 which is quite impressive.

I got one when it came out in Canada. I love it! Lightning fast, lots of memory, great battery life, and awesome speakerphone! Blackberry 'PUSH' email is far superior to the competition!
I got used to the keyboard layout very quickly! The SureType, predictive, text is a lot more intelligent than a standard phone with only 2 letters per key. But this device is geared for 60% Voice/ 40% Email.
Would recommend to anyone! I call it my phone on steroids!
