Now available in Vodafone UK stores. Very nice and easy to use but the 5MP on it is shocking though. Pretty poor image quality. Looks more like a 2MP and it has loads of watermarks on final image. Still looks a good contender when you are upgrading and don't want a slide

My main concern is the battery. I expected 1500mah rather than 1200 but a smart design.

i own blackberry 9700, i'm not very happy with the apps or the integrity of os6 either. popular apps are bearly supported onn bb os6. knnowing that os7 is new and that will be replaced with another os soon which may not be supported on the 9900 either is waste time and money. iphone and android are light years ahead with the apps such as whatsapp, oovoo, viper, face time and google talk and many other thousands of apps.
the only reason i use bb is that because my company pay the BIS plan. otherwise i would 100% buy android or iphone5 phone.
i think google should buy RiM and have the RIM suite on android phones i think only then android would really be truely on top.
RIM release of 9900 with os7 is a cheat for current users who dont know that support of existing bearly working apps suh as whatsapp are still not made, which is a step backword really. by the time whatsapp is ready for os7, RIM will have to start over on new os... apps suck on BB period.

Anonymous, 12 Aug 2011i think the bb bold 9900 will not eat energy as bigger touc... moremy main concern aint the price tag, coz i could wait months until its fallen.
btw with the way RIM do their things, this fone might not support the next OS (QNX).
My major concern is the battery, the processing power compared to the 9800 was doubled and the battery capacity reduced. i dont get the logic. they'll probably say the phone has been conditioned to optimise battery. i don't buy it, they're probably keeping mum on the battery life for a reason. I haven't seen that information anywhere

This phone and blackberry is doomed to fail if they price this anywhere near the Galaxy S II range.
This should be priced around a little over half of what a Galaxy II cost. If not, good bye blackberry.
The economy is not as good as before when you could sell your expensive phones so easily. Now we have choices, and your only salvation aside from the quality of your phone is the pricing.
Better get it right.
