Sandeep, 11 Aug 2011True Pravs. And I had all the plans to buy it within next 1... morepeople don't go for Blackberrys for the specs. its not your run of the mill phone. It has something called BIS! its a niche market and we are really not worried about it costing 30k+. its ur choice, there are cheaper Blackberrys available. its not as easy as Choosing a iPhone 4 to a Samsung Galaxy 2 or vice versa.. there are a lot of other considerations to be made while choosing to opt out of a Blackberry.

[deleted post]True Pravs. And I had all the plans to buy it within next 15 days but the big question remains: Is it worth it with this kind of price tag? Why not go for Samsung Galaxy SII at relatively less price or Nokie E6 at a much lesser price?

For one reason or the other, I have never been able to purchase the phone that I really wanted, have always had to make compromises (mostly due to release dates and budget).
Currently using a Curve 8520 ('09) and S/E Xperia X10 Mini Pro ('10). Sick of the S/E's battery.
Was eagerly waiting for this phone and the S/E Xperia Pro (with 1500 mAh, surely it should last 2 days!).
But what are the odds that with the specs the 9900 has, the battery will last 1.5 days (minimum requirements).
And as for the S/E Xperia Pro, apparently that doesnt release till Q4.
Sigh.

In the news paper dated 11th August in the Times of India a big adv. of th Blackberry Bold 9900 has come and they have given the names of the dealer where it will be available. We are going to get by 15th August I suppose . I am waiting for it anxiously What a Independence Day it would be.

I am a blackberry user now and i am confused which phone to buy. I was waiting for the BB 9900 and it came out today, so i went to buy it but now i am confused cause i was told the i phone 4 is the better way to go. So i will decide overnight and buy tomorrow... Any thoughts?

i am an user of nokia e71 premium for the past 13 months.i have regular mobile use and had used around 1800 hours till now.now i am planning to change my mob.i dont prefer to go for android as i feel it might fail soon due to my excessive use.i need a better battery backup phone and i prefer blackberry.will this model be ok for me.please help friends.or can u please suggest some other phone.especially blackberry.

BlackBerry 9900 slated for August 11 launch in India! that is tomorrow! my supplier already confirmed that he'll be getting it by tonight(10th) i can come and collect tomorrow!For $700!

I been using blackberry's for a long time and some of my friends have androids and apple iphone's. And i can tell you one thing they don't come close to what Rim has with the Blackberry's.

The point is bb is bb u can't compare it with other .. I been waiting for this bb bold for a long time .. Same size as the bold 1 .. been using galaxy tab for sometimes but still I prefer bb .. Not into game .. More to sms, messenger, email , web surfing, and of coz need the bold 1 key pad size .. I had big fingers . Lastly bb knows what we want !
