RIMM doesnt have money to produce this model thats why its delayed. there stock went dramatically down and will fall down to bankruptcy if they dont sell the company or start making agreements. There VP's are leaving and going to samsung and other companies. i predict within 6 months they will claim bankrupcy protection..Then either microsoft of google will buy them. orelse, people, start selling

Anonymous, 18 Jun 2011bad battery life dats y bb sucksFor goodness sake dont you buy any of todays touchscreen fones that last 6 hrs under moderate to heavy use then you may die of shock..I have found BB to have fantastic battery and sound quality,well built and very,very secure..Thats just a few major qualities of BB.

I always use qwerty type phones mainly for the reason of email and messaging - business. From BB8707, I switched to Nokia E71 since that was the best phone in terms of specs during the time my provider offered me a new handset. BB is always the benchmark, so when they offered me a new handset I went back to BB9700.
BB9900 based on specs (my opinion) is a great upgrade. I am not particluar on camera: I would go for qwerty with long battery life, ease of use in messaging, faster processor, bigger memory, lightweight if possible or thin form.

The overly big htc desire hd has a 1230 mA battery so this should last the day.BB are well known for good battery and i am sure RIM have tested this.Also these monster smartphone proccessors are highly optimised for efficiency.They rundown to using under 5 mA at some point using very little power ..Symbian can go down to 2 mA of usage at minimum point.

i'm not stop imaging about the battery life and the sar value for this device! Oh~oh no NO! Perhaps it should be able to LIVE for 2 full days for heavy user! and has low sar values! If so, i will falling my love with 9900! ..............or no~ i cant wait for this! Cant stop thinking about the battery and sar values!!!!!!!!!! Fast fast let me know! (between choosing bold 9900/motorola atrix/samsung galaxy s2)

They could get round the radio problem by doing what they did with s/e w900i and incorporate one in the headfone piece..Rim is a canadian make i wonder if they dont allow video calls and therefore dont put in a secondary camera.

This is definitely a perfect upgrade from my BB Bold9000. Better CPU, better memory, bigger display, better resolution, slimmer and a track pad. NFC is the future and am glad BB has embraced the cutting edge technology in this package. I only wish they factored in a secondary front camera and maybe RDS radio feature. I also think they should have maintained the black leather look on the back cover similar to the Bold9000.
The plastic back cover looks cheap.
Last but not least, i believe everyone wants better battery life irrespective of whatever handset you have. #JustSaying
