gogo, 11 May 2011first off, many bb users find the 9780 too small, for typin... moreexactly why i didnt want the 9780 because of its size. i was hoping RIM would come back with a phone the same size as the 9000 and finally the wait is over!! thank you RIM!!!:):):)

I was a huge fan of the 9000.... have been a berry user for years now... but the 9000 had the best form factor, i used the 9000 n 9700 in turns back in the day, sadly both of them were stolen.
iv had a couple of 9700s since, and moved to the 9800 (transitional phase to 9900) n tbh, iv never liked the 9800, since before i bought it.
BB is lisnin to its fans, and thats a good thing. people have been upbeat about the 9900 ever since it was first leaked before the 9700 ever was heard of.
I have waited long for this. will have to work some trix again to get it vvv early.
As for the people who are dishin this device aka apple fans! Sorry, this device will just not cater to your needs. In all respect. the iPhone is a amazing device, but its target poppulation is vastly different to that of BB users.
Do not expect the price to be low! it will be around the £550 mark. thats usually where the Bolds kick off at. expect about 400-450 by November (if it is released next month). will be well worth the money.
The 9000 was the only blackberry that besides the 8300 that i have owned have have used for a consistent spell without hating it. I may even include it in one of my top 3 devices... X1, Nokia 8310 and Bold 9000.
May the 9000 displace the X1.
Great device! Good on you RIM! Best of Luck Blackberry!

Ash, 04 May 2011The 85820 looks no different? Let me just clarify this for ... moreTo ASH:
You are telling the man to stick with Nokia just because he complained about the same old Blackberry look? The man is right, this new Bold 9900 looks like the Curve 8520, the Curve 8530, the Bold 9000, the Bold 9700, The Bold 9780 and the likes...it even looks like the Tour 9630! Blackberry keep using the same old design over and over and over again.
If I was the person you replied to, I would follow your advice and stick to something simple like a Nokia because with a Nokia smartphone I can make free calls using MSN, Yahoo, Skype, Google Talk etc. and it can be done using Wi-Fi or any other method. Not to mention the built-in SIP/VOIP where you can make an internet call to someone in your contact list. How simple is Nokia now? You can even print to a networked printer over Wi-Fi. Not to mention I can view and delete files on a PC using a "simple" Nokia phone and I could go on and on and on. Best of all, it's not buggy and doesn't require frequent battery pulls and I could go on and on and on.
So yes, a "simple" Nokia phone is the way to go.

@pakya
blackberry vs E6: bb has a slightly bigger screen but same resolution so in theory e6 should have a smoother/nicer picture on the screen but i don't think it would be too noticable if at all.. i would probably go for a bigger screen on this one..
it also has more RAM and processor power but symbian dosn't need much of it...
and if i'm not mistaking bb's can work without gsm.. a big plus..
now for nokia:
- gorilla glass display
- in my opinion e6 battery will last at least 2x more than the bb
-flash support for browsing
-better camera even if it is fixed focus (i had e52 some time before even with a 3.2 MP fixed focus camera pictures weren't bad so I imagine a 8MP cam is much better)
-dual led flash (always nice to have strong light when taking pictures at night + can be used as a flashlight- very useful sometimes)
also on the look of it buttons seem to be slightly bigger on the bb but it looks like they're flat.. so i'm not sure how does it feel to type on that qwerty.. probably another plus for nokia on this one... unfortunately I don't like the backside of either of them.. but i prefer the nokia design... probably a more solid build...
all that's left for me is the price.. than i'd be able to say what would be a better buy.. but if you don't mind the cost i'd probably go for the nokia..

Rory, 08 May 2011Hi I am from south Africa and wondering how much people in ... moreWhat a surprise. I am from India. We paying 400 rupees which is equal to $9 only. Again unlimited internet, chat, mails. So It is uniform everywhere. But one thing it is 2g network we are using for BB in India. No blackberry 3G scheme here.

MyBBB, 10 May 2011After Reviewing Bold 9900 it will much faster than Bold 978... morefirst off, many bb users find the 9780 too small, for typing, and screen is too small for browsing.. Im sure many have found the 9000 more practical. That being said, there is a reason why rim is brining back the 9000 model body back and making it even bigger, because nowadays, bigger...is better !
