                  Hi everyone

I recently subscribed to a internet website and can CHAT, but I am unable to connect. Browsing is perfectly fine. Do I need software to be downloaded on my 9900BB to CHAT?

Saw your comment. Thought the best fone that you could go for is Blackberry 9900. Eventhough u don't internet a lot and gaming a lot. This would be the best fone which would satisfy ur needs currently.
                      Hope this answers your question

It is comparable to a Nokia E6 at best. Maybe instead of thinking, you should get hold of an iphone; get the feel and functionality, so to speak. The 9900 is just overpriced, very overpriced..

Bobby, 04 Apr 2012Buddy, thanks a lot for such a vivid presentation. Actually... moreBobby: Your are most welcome! Making a decision a new smartphone is a bit challenging these with so many improvements, advancments and models.
As to your question regarding the Bold 9780 vs Bold 9900; simply put it's like day and night. The 9780 uses OS6 and 9900 uses OS7. The 9900 screens graphics & display are much more vivid and fluid as well as larger which makes for easier reading of text, the processing and downloading even simple emails is superiorly faster in the 9900. The only place where the 9780 may win over the 9900 is in battery life, mainly due to slower network modem and smaller/slower processor. As for battery life, though subjective to expectations and uses, will get you approximately 12 hours of moderate normal use in single charge (And that is from an expert technician who repairs BlackBerry's too): email updates, social network updates etc. however if you're only using email and say very little of anything else, then I can tell you I have spoken to many in that category getting as much as a day and a half. Again, this subjective to how you use it and settings and so forth.
If I were to compare my Nokia E-71 to the Bold 9900 doing the same functions on each, then they are very similar in battery life. I know the price is a bit more attractive with 9780, but trust me when I say you won't go wrong choosing the 9900 and as side note periodically I've noticed in the app store BlackBerry has special "free" offers on some paid apps.
Hope that answers your queries :-)

Purchased this phone after using a Motorola Razr for a month. Love it for it's graphics! Not compatible with the pre-paid service I am with, but I love the phone so much I've changed providers. Battery lasts a solid 2 days with heavy texting.

Well first and foremost i keep seeing people saying they are getting appauling battery life even on standby... i feel sorry for you really as ive not had the same problem yet, on standby with the odd couple of calls here and there (maybe 30-60mins total talking) and watching a few videos on youtube my battery hasn't dropped bellow half in a full 24hr period, so yeh appologies if it sounds like i'm rubbing it in, totally not the intention here, but thinking maybe there is some kind of inherant manufacturing issue with some batteries for the bb.

Actually, I wanted to listen such kind of remarks from the actual users. One small question-how does the Bold 3(9780)perform vis a vis 9900?
