BOLD ! , 05 Mar 2012Well as I heard that the 9900 has lags and stuff and poor b... moreThere are lots of factor that can be affecting your usage of this phone. One of which is undeleted irrelevant browsing history, though this will only affect browsing. Also if the phone's SD card has got a lot of data saved in it, it will drag down the access speed of your 9900, actually any phone - that's why phones nowadays are having no SD slots like all iPhones, Xperia s, and other phones announces in MWC. Better yet, have your 9900 checked by a BB technician who may resolve the problems you're having.

Now had mine for 3 weeks now and the battery performance is abismal. I dont even get 24 hours with it mainly on standby. Don't know how specs can give 307Hr on standby, I would be grateful for just the 50Hrs music playtime as being my standby time. Shouldn't RIM be taking some responsibility for this as I appear to be not the only one with rubbish performance?

manofGod, 15 Mar 2012My man..you are right,i use it too,the battery is rubbish,i... moreThe short battery life was my concern as well when i started using the Bold 9900 but after playing with it for a bit, I've grown an even bigger respect for this device. Do you guys know you have a built in Device Analyzer through Advanced System Settings? And from there, you can run battery tests which will give you most detailed info of your battery usage. Beautiful, I tell you.

For me, it turned out to be a call screening app that was over tasking the processor. I've modified the app's permissions and now the battery drains sloooowly

I have to say it is disppointing to see Blackberry is losing market share and people giving up blackberry in thousands. My handset keep searching for network, calls collapse , contact Blackberry is impossible and they are becoming the. Out useless handset to own.

I'm 45 years old. Married. Kids. Live in South Africa. Business Owner employ over 100 people. We all use Macs and have been doing so for almost 15 years. In the office we have about 60 iPads, everyone has a Mac Laptop and approximately 50 iMacs.

When it came to getting company phones the obvious choice was the iPhone. Everything would just work and sync seamlessly. I purchased the iPhone S and all went well - very well - a great phone with fantastic apps etc.

Then the monthly cellphone bill arrived. I honestly couldn't believe my eyes. The data usage was so high that it drove my cost up by an additional R700 (Just short of $100). That's crazy even for an established business - just multiply that by 100 every month and I'll be bankrupt!

To cut a long story short, I ended up issuing the staff with the Bold 9900. Once the initial set-up and syncs were done - we have not not had a single complaint nor fuss. And my additional costs? R54 per month, per phone.

I use a telephone for making calls, receiving my emails, calendar and very occasionally I'll look at the sports score via the browser. And you know what? The BlackBerry just works effortlessly every time. And that's what people like me want. We want things to work first time because that's what we were promised when we purchased the unit in the first place.

Don't get me wrong the iPhone is a great phone. It's fantastic. Brilliant technology with a masterful mind behind it - But it's just a step too much. Too many gizmo's. Too many apps with too many buttons. I just want a phone and the BlackBerry Bold 9900 has, at least for this user - and his staff - outshone the rest.

I have used the bold touch for over 2 weeks now and here's my obsrvations:

                            *the phone is very fast
                            *the browser speed is blazing
*the battery drains abt a day...so u may have to charge everyday.

For people that keep comparing BB to iphone, I don't see the basis. BB is strictly a messenger....best messenger phone in the world. Iphone is equally a great fone.

                            Recommend this phone anyday

I'm wanting to choose btw the BB bold9780 and the touch 9900. Which would you guys recommend. Seem to be quite a few negative comments on the touch. Is the battery life really that bad for the touch and excuse my ignorance, but what exactly is the auto focus that it doesn't have and why is it so NB. Thanks

I have been using 9900 for about 3 months. I always had issues with the screen not locking up while on call and it does weird things. I have no idea why BB decided to place the sensor to the right of the speaker, which is the reason for the phone not locking up while on call. The leather pouch that comes with the phone is a joke. It is really hard to get the phone out and there are buttons where we are supposed to hold the phone and pull it out of the pouch. I loved the keyboard. Overall I am not satisfied with the phone and planning to sell it.
