1. Set the phone on lock screen
2. Make sure password input balloon appeared
3. Hold power button until the screen goes darker (like it about to shut down) & wait for a pop up window shutdown cancellation window appeared
4. Press back button immediately

Can't remember password to open phone 8320 model. Tried 9 of 10 times and now it says final try if incorrect information will be erased. What is your recommendation to avoid loss of information. Haven't used phone in a few years.
