How much did you give for your BB 9220? Here in Portugal it costs 170€ locked to Vodafone network, but plan free (you only pay what you use). Thanks!

very nice phone. im a new bb user, but this seems to be a user friendly to me. but this phone must have a flash to beat the 8520. so far so good, its a good basic phone for blackberry. very elegant slim phone for qwerty. you will like it. 9300 and 8520 is bulky.

No much improvement from 8520, as it runs EDGE not 3G like 9300. 8520 & 8520 are pretty much slow esp wen running multi app cocurrently.
Even tho RIM wanted to push anada low-end phone targeting students & low class income earners. 9300 was on the right track with RAM & OS improvement to 7.1 (to include radio) 9310/20 was gonna be the cash cow on low class income earners.
4/10...

jtzll, 19 Jun 2012if you like multitasking then why do you use the bb? becaus... moreI'm not sure what you did to your phone, but my 8520 is not slow and it's doens't froze, though I only have a few apps installed which is useful to my work, specially the callendar which reminds me of all my appointmens in a day or a week and so on.
I like the way blackberry do multitasking, by pressing and holding the BB menu for a couple of seconds and switch to other apps that's it.
Since I am a heave email and texter I usually charge my BB 3x a day but its not a problem to me since I have a spare battery just incase I have to work outside the office.
Iphone is a good communication device too, but it's just me, seems that iphone is not for me.

Mojacko, 18 Jun 2012Yes, My friends 9220 can do BBM, receiving and sending em... moreif you like multitasking then why do you use the bb? because it's one of the slowest phones I have ever used. I had an 8520 which I upgraded to 9300 and they both froze a lot so I got an Iphone and what do you know, no more freezing even when I have all and I mean All my apps running in the background, and that's about 64 of them so yeah. bb sucks when it comes to multitusking

kennyelfuego, 17 Jun 2012does dis BB suport multitasking(can u do 3-4things at same ... moreYes,
My friends 9220 can do BBM, receiving and sending emails, plays music, send sms, FB and YM, other apps is still running on background just a matter of switching apps to replay or post.
Currently I use 8520 and will renew my plan from Globe with the 9320 model. Multitasking is one of the features I love on Blackberry.

BB 9220 is just awesome. It doesn't have all those gig zag features of high end but really helps and satisfies minimum business requirements.i am using both samsung s3 and 9220 and i prefer for my daily mail and business the BB.. Hats off to the designer.
