to all those people out there, wondering if they should buy this phone,,, YES definately!! ive been using this phone for about 2 years now, i am working in a vodacom store located in upington northern cape, south africa.. ive been selling this blackberry for quite a while now.
never once did a client came back to me with this blcakberry, where even the 9900 and the bold 9790 comes back daily!! this phone never lagged with me, never restarted for no reason etc.
however the phone is getting quite hot when on the internet using a wifi conection to download movies, im currently running a 32gb card in this phone, and still this phone is taking it without issues, one of my friend is using the blackberry 9360 and i once moved my 32gb memory card to his phone, and the phone kept on restarting
so yes... go buy this phone!!! thats if you live outside of south africa, because here this phone has been discontinued.. to make place for the new torch.. thats the only reason why blackberry is pulling this phone back, because its better than the new torch and way cheaper...
if you dont believe me....

A full year of using this phone and I have had minimal problems.
It is a good option in the lower spending bracket, it offers everything a bold with offer, with slightly less processing power and ram. A friend uses a Bold and I have found the 9380 is more reliable.
Key to keeping this phone functioning properly is software updates as with all Blackberry's.
Would recommend this phone to people not looking to spend a large sum of money.
PS: it survived being completely immersed in a swimming pool for 30 plus seconds while on.

Hi guys... all of you who are having problem with the money getting deducted while you are connected to wifi...just follow this simple step: 1. go to options 2. network and connections 3. mobile network 4. put off the Data services option 5. save it.... enjoy... :)

Highly overheating and regret buying blackberry. why should we off data when reason for buying bb is to get email 24/7 ? when it was initially bought, no overheating, after six month, dangerous to keep. fully charged battery run down within few minutes

Heating up is commonly due to turning on of you the data signal, when I turn it off, the phone runs on normal temperature and does not heat up.
Networks and Connections > Mobile Network > Data Services = off

fa, 11 Apr 2013I have BB curve 9380, but it always has signal issue with e... moreive had my blackberry curve 9380 for a year this may,and honestly.i would give this phone up for a verry old phone.beacause it crashes all the time,and just a slow phone in general.if i was about to buy another one,id rather keep my money and buy a proper phone.

can u pls tell me if network registration can be fixed on this BB unit coz i plan to buy one but the problem is that een if we insert local sim it does not identify the network provider as if it is blocked. pls help wat to do?

I have BB curve 9380, but it always has signal issue with every network. All the time it is searching for network connection. just don't know what to do with this useless stuff!
