BlackBerry releases video showing the KEYone featuring Android Auto

Enrique, 04 September 2017

BlackBerry first released its all-Black Edition KEYone device (hands-on here) when the Android-powered smartphone launched in India and then, more recently, the “murdered-out” version of the phone was also announced as an AT&T-exclusive in the US (keep in mind the AT&T “Space Black” version gets 3GB/32GB while the “Black Edition” gets 4GB 64GB – source). That was before we found out the Black KEYone was arriving globally to all markets.

Today, BlackBerry released a video showing off the Black-clad device working with Android Auto. Just a reminder that any Android smartphone with Android 5.0 and up is compatible with an Android Auto-compatible receiver.

The video didn’t show anything new. In fact, it only highlighted the main differences between the Silver and Black Editions of the KEYone: the added RAM (4GB) and ample 64GB of storage. Then the actor drove off before he took a call using Android Auto.
