BlackBerry set to launch a limited edition Gold Passport

17 January, 2015

BlackBerry is about to launch a limited edition Gold Passport. Only 50 pieces of the decked out smartphone will be available to order worldwide.

A listing for the upcoming luxury version of the smartphone is already live in BlackBerry’s online store in Canada. The handset is priced at $999.

The Gold BlackBerry Passport will feature metal trim and frets adorned by the precious metal. Each device will be engraved with ‘Limited Edition’ moniker, as well as a production number.

BlackBerry Passport is already available in gold, though not directly from the manufactures. A Vietnamese jeweler showcased the smartphone with 24K gold plating a couple of months ago.
