I have my 4th BV phone now. Not that the other ones are broken, but I like the concept and I want to try something else from time to time. I'm basically OK with the phone, expect for the mic. I used it a few times to make a video at a concert. OK, the phone is not made for attending concerts, but the sound is so bad that without the video I would have no clue what I'm listening at. Wondering whether there is any BV with a better mic.

I've had the phone 18 months nearly and I use a standard 1 amp charger for overnight charges. If I need a boost, I use the fast charger. That considerably shortens the batteries life.
This phone lacks proper battery management, my Sony would fast charge to a set alarm time then trickle charge as it approached the alarm. To get ~85-90%.
The plus side on this phone is an overnight charge of 1 amp at 8 hours from 20% gives me 3 days of on/off browsing and music, Bluetooth loading and WiFi, and hot-spot usage.
The massive con of this phone is lack of wireless charging and I'm in fear of that flap breaking off, not an issue on the 9800... And the video mic is absolutely junk. It sounds like it's underwater. Luckily, this phones not experienced underwater, my 2 9800 pro's did and just shook them off like nothing happened.
I like this phone, the night vision is good and it is tough. Screen protector is a must, but this version of Doki doesn't support multi user, I've not had a single brick moment where the 9800 had to be 3 finger reset. The few times I've been hiking on rocks, this phone has bounced and slid, only destroying the screen protectors, and being used in damp to sodden walks where its rained sideways, have always taken good photos and been able to decipher a wet finger from a raindrop.
I tried to tell BV about their bms issue but I just get a chingrish response. I'm just waiting for their next insane creation. Flir/night vision are handy, but I may be swayed by doogee's creation of a decent tough phone. Sony is way too expensive to justify an outright purchase.

The screen on my Blackview 8800 pro just broke. A drop from 20 cm on the street. Military specs my arse! This phone is CRAP, nothing comparable to the CAT S61 that I had for 3 years ! Also I purchased the Blackview R7 Smartwatch which is laughable : as an example I placed the O2 sat meter on a dead body (person had been dead for 6 hours) and it showed a Sat02 of 98% ! It is truly sad and disappointing. I thought Chinese engineers were good but my recent purchase of Blackview product were not worth the money I spent on them.

My Blackview phone has started switching off for no reason at all. It began a few days ago. It would sometimes switch off a few minutes after being plugged into the charger. Now it is happening more frequently. I would like a refund on this phone as it is only a few months old and it does not work.

Garbage. Not rugged. Had it for 2 months then an accidental fall off a bench barely 0.5meters high onto tile in a pool change room and the screen broke. I have the best screen protector and case I could find, which are basically none.
$100Cad for new screen and about $100repair, i'd rather put that toward a CAT phone.

Really good phone, especially if you drop it or are a bit rough with it unintentionally but the microphone SUCKS! I love the size of the phone and the quality of the pictures. Those are two of the best features. The placement of where you push both buttons together to take screenshots though is annoying. You often see the volume up screen on your screenshot or the screen reverts to your sign-in screen and you have to log-on again if you do not hit the buttons simultaneously and perfectly. Also, the face recognition often does not work. The FLR was a Iittle disappointing but that might have been inaccurate expectations on my part.
But again, the mic issue and the constant complaints that no one can hear me makes me want to sell it at times. I can hear great on my end but everyone says they can barely hear me. This is an on-going issue apparently with Blackview phones, so please just fix it and make a great phone instead of just a good one. With all that said, the phone in general works well and handles falls etc great, which is why I bought it.

i purchased this phone for the flir camera , and the 5G although it shows 5G on my phone ive had lots of problems with receiving any data im on the telus network in Alberta Canada . and it appears that this phone does not like telus . im now doing a memory dump and restoring the phone to factory in the hopes that there was a glitch . i hope this works . the previous BV8800 also has issues on Telus network i had to get telus on line to get them to turn on data for it too. all in all the phone is great it makes calls receives text messages and some app's work , but it cant connect to the internet .ive tried talking to tech support in china but that's a waste of time , they like to play the blame game

Having owned this phone for about a week now, I'm noticing a couple nits right off the bat.

                                        1) The battery appears to be draining faster than normal. So while it may have an 8350mah battery, the phone also consumes more power and so there is no meaningful increasing in time of use.

                                        2) Every so often the phone reboots and doesn't reboot safely. So I end up rebooting into safe mode and need to manually trigger the phone to try again.

                                        That being said:

It's a huge improvement over the BV9800 Pro. The thermal camera--while some consider a novel feature--loads much faster on the BL8800 Pro. The 5G chip should allow for faster internet connectivity where it's supported, and there is plenty of onboard storage to not really need an SD card. I'm curious to know what people are storing on their phones which needs more than ~200GB.
