This smartphone got the awful notch screen??

Have been using this phone for few months already. It is a bit heavier than other phones but not an issue to me. In fact the weight gives me a good hold from dropping it except I can't use magnetic car mount anymore. Battery is good and last for days. There's an odd problem with it's wifi hotspot. It will connect to laptops but no 4G Internet access. BV admitted the problem and offered a rebate. I found it works with 3G only. Water can get into phone if USB is not covered after dropping into water. Water proof phones should support wireless charging.

The review says the notch in the LCD for the front camera was unnecessary, but it's not true. This phone construction (typical for a rugged phone) requires thick bessels that have enough space under them for a rubber seal that is on the circumference. It makes the phone wider and more rugged-like with the extra material around and it is easy to take apart and put together and make it easily waterproof again, but it takes a lot of space, material (weight) and the camera is probably right against the plastic top of the phone.

Bought it for personal and work reasons.
For me its not heavy at all , its worth because u don`t need to charge the phone everyday.
I recommend this phone for open mind people i dont need 5g , and nobody gonna steal it because it looks like a brick :D

I had been using this phone for a few months.
In general it was a very good device with a huge battery and shockproof as expected.
It is rather fast and easy to use. It did get stuck occasionly just for moment on some apps but I believe mainly because of some compatibility issue - mainly you get an easy and fast experience of using any app.
Very soon I did see some wear on the buttons of the Volume and fingerprint sensor - was a bit dissapointing.
Finally the phone accidentally fell in water and proved out it was NOT waterproof as it got water inside and died.
BV support claimed this is not covered by warranty (they didn't even bother to check if there was a production failure). Although they do claim it is waterproof I would rather say water resistant - which was also dissapointing.

The delay in updating to android 12 does not seem justified. When will the same take place?

I have this device for some days now, came from xiaomi note 10 pro. Changed primarily for battery reasons, I need to have 8+h screen on time with max brightness without worrying, xiaomi was giving me 5-6h.
negative:
-HEAVY
-not a big problem but doesn't come with preinstalled gallery app wtf
-software is crappy just like xiaomi's, I need to reapply privileges to modify system settings for some apps after every restart or cleaning ram
-gsmarena's review statement is that fingerprint works flawless, my experience is not like that - it's bad, I turned it off and rely on face unlock
-usb lid is hard to open, I need to use a knife
-can't get rid of google calendar on home screen
-can't pull notifications down from anywhere on homescreen, need to pull it from all the way up

Looks like a great phone with many great features but no SD card slot is a no go for me but if this was needed to make it waterproof then I can understand and only 128GB of internal storage is way too low.

i just got this one like a week ago, it last 3 days for me, 22 hours of screen great screen, sound and cinnectivity, the only thing with it, is reaaaaaally heavy, not for every body

simply great.
Battery lasts for 30 days on normal usage.
Battery slightly smaller than previous bv9500 but big enough, cant stand every night recharges, forget one night and your unable to use your phone the next day.

On the surface it looks and reads like it could be a good unit especially for those of us that work or play in harsh environments especially construction and associated industries where the more fragile mobiles such as those with glass casing (even with a good armor rated case) etc.. could be prone to damage. Also be good for caving or similar instances where flash could not be used or used effectively as the ir camera.

WHY is there a notch?? There's plenty of room for the front camera to be in the top bezel!
