This why "opinions and reviews" exists to let people know whether they should pick this phone or not. I don't care if you spend money on a phone that you want with insane price. Not my money anyway. If it was my money I would pick a phone that's worth for the price I payed not just fancy outside crappy inside.

Easy, 07 Aug 2024I love the phoneWell you can but no matter the brand folables and flipables are no for me.
Even IronFlip for 55 000 euros from Vertu brand i would reject because the folding screen durability is close to a gimmick

Why would anyone pick this over a slab phone with better spec and price. Some guy would probably buy this just because it looks cool outside but crappy inside.

Not all "cheap" (if you can call it as such) can be purchased everywhere. The Nubia flip which looks much better (and probably is) cannot be purchased in some parts of the world unless you rely on Chinese web-shops where you often have to pay a huge tax in some countries before the local postman or delivery guy brings it to you. I'm fond of both mentioned devices but if I would have to choose then it would be the Nubia flip which has a better brand recognition than Blackview that is mainly known for it's rugged phones (at least where I live) and unknown software support terms.

An attempt at making an affordable foldable phone gone wrong. I get what they're aiming for (more competition on the foldable market), but I don't get why people would pick this over other already existing cheap foldables.

This would actually be great value if it didnt have a Helio G99.... Dated and wildly underpowered compared to all the other specs of this phone.

If the price was under 250-300$ or euro, it will be a budget foldable. But with this price and with a chipset mtk helio G99, i think at that price tag, motorola can give you a better foldable, with no joke.
