Just got the 16 GB / 1 TB Satellite version last week. The listed specifications contain at least two inaccuracies: first, this phone (unlike most rugged models) supports eSIM. You can either use two physical nano-SIMs or one physical nano-SIM and an eSIM. Second, the fingerprint sensor is not side-mounted as specified, but integrated into the bottom part of the screen, and unfortunately it is very troublesome to use. Most of the time it fails to recognize my fingerprints, even though I registered four different fingers. The face detection, however, works well enough.

I previously owned two Ulefone rugged phones—Armor 3W and Power Armor 13—and unlike those, this phone actually has a very good display. The resolution is excellent and the screen is bright enough to be readable outdoors in direct sunlight, which was not the case with my previous two phones.

Both the rear and front cameras are far better than those on the Power Armor 13, and in daylight they produce rather good photos. However, at night under street lighting, photos taken with the default settings are noticeably more yellow-tinted than those from my other phone, a Samsung A33 5G. The level of detail appears to be roughly the same. What I miss the most is a separate ultrawide rear camera for landscape shots. Even the Power Armor 13 had one (though not a very good one), whereas this phone does not.

I have used this phone for a week now, and based on that experience I am mostly happy with it. The only things I would change, if possible, are the fingerprint sensor (to a side-mounted one) and the rear camera setup (add an ultrawide camera and adjust the default settings so night photos are not so yellow). In any case, this is by far the best rugged phone currently available and very good value for the price.

Kingland, 15 Oct 2025I promise you, there will be ZERO long term software suppor... moreThey do release firmware updates/ the rare os upgrade but gotta have to keep nagging with emails their customer support until they provide link for the latest firmware.

Kingland, 15 Oct 2025I promise you, there will be ZERO long term software suppor... moreVery true. I have an Ulefone. I have received only 1 update in an entire year.

Also, all of these brands are designed & manufactured by the same company. That is why they all look very similar.

If you don't need a night vision or thermal camera, then these type of phones are not worth their price.

You might just buy a regular phone and put a thick case.

SGH Fan, 15 Oct 2025If only there was room to hide the hole punch in the top be... moreI promise you, there will be ZERO long term software support for any Blackview, Doogee, Umidigi or Fossibot style ultra-obscure niche Shenzhen/Hong Kong grey market brand.

The only brand like this that I can say for 100% certain will MAYBE give you 1 Android OS upgrade is Ulefone. Ulefone usually provides 1 major Android version upgrade to their top of the line Armor Ultra phone (which is Ulefone's "flagship" device).

Even Motorola, which is often made fun of by enthusiasts for their short 2 or 3 Android version upgrade policy (2 for Moto G series, 3 for Edge series), is vastly superior to any of those niche Shenzhen brands.

I prefer ultrawide camera to night vision camera

If only there was room to hide the hole punch in the top bezel...
I also am questioning if Blackview will even deliver the updates.
