These kind of bezels and that absolutely fat notch just wants to make me puke from looking at it.

Typing is sluggish. Camera not too good. External speaker could be louder. But for what it is and for what I paid it's actually pretty good. The phone works fine, as do messages. Webpages and videos work well on multiple browsers. Streaming apps stream. It has a large screen. Want more performance pony up more cash. If you can't or don't want to this will get you by just fine.

JohnOh, 27 Dec 2023Impossible to open phone to fit battery without damaging. B... moreBIG fact. I got one 4 days ago and frm then to now I'm still trying to open it to install battery

          16gb of storage?? insanity garbage.
even there are other cheap phones and larger storage than this. i bet that 16gb storage gives you 4gb usable space.

SergeSmArt, 04 Sep 2023I'd like to add something to my review of the BLU G33 ... moreI can provide you a copy of the manual (which is pretty small and doesn’t have a great deal of info but it’s better than nothing).
All I ask in return is for you to tell me how to get service for this phone lol. I bought one for my 10 year old niece just so she doesn’t feel left out since all of her older sisters have one so it doesn’t need bells and whistles just the basics.

                2016 specs in 2023 imagine

Anonymous, 03 Nov 2023Guys, can't you see? There's a line of BLU phones... moreIts not 4g capable. You can't connect it to any cell phone network. That's why the network specs are so conspicuously absent from even the official website. They're misleading you into believing its capable of even basic use when it is not.

Anonymous, 10 Oct 2023Blu needs to stop pumping out phones with 2gb ram. In 2023,... moretotally false. 2 gb is enough for quite a few groups including many aeniors who inly uae talk or talk and text, younger kids, emergency phones, and many other users and needs. juat because you can not use simething doesnt mean others cant.

                      Unboxed & Owned, currently fielding.

                      Opinion: Patience Required.
It's nice to see BLU put out sub $100USD Unlocked Handsets that don't use Micro-USB, compared to their other Unlocked Handsets below the $100USD price bracket, such as the C5L & X5 series that are modern Android 11 [A11] phones that are stuck using yester-decade's Micro-USB. The BLU G33 is a semi-modern handset packing Android 13 Go Edition [A13GE] with the ability to use Type-C-USB & current Google Services, the G33 can be plenty slow at times due to it's limited hardware. Unfortunately stuck with 2GB of RAM & 16GB of onboard storage, this device is certainly going to struggle offering the modern features of A13GE let alone anything from A13 non GE Android services. The G33 may have more up-to-date software, but the hardware is certainly lacking behind, with a lackluster amount of RAM & ROM, the G33 will certainly require some patience for many mid & low-tier users to operate. Though I should note, the build quality of the body feels quite nice for $60USD & the hard to remove back-cover lacks the "cheap creak" noises of other economical handsets.

The Camera department is hard to watch, literally & figuratively, explaining that the Camera Software has a good variety of shooting modes & post-processing software, does not change the fact that the BLU G33 has a cheap 5MP picture shooter. The 5MP outward camera is painful to witness taking low resolution photos within good lighting environments, the camera is incapable of taking non-blurry images past 2x zoom, which it has the ability to go up-to 4x zoom. The Outward camera is a disappointment, but understanding the price bracket they were trying to fit could attempt to explain this as a compromise, but the BLU View 2, which has a lower price [when locked] at $30USD has better a better camera set & RAM & Storage capacities. The inward camera that faces the user is also low resolution that may take photos of the bare-minimum of tolerance to be associated as modern. Both of these Camera sets are more disappointing when you witness the post-shot capture, both the outward & inward camera capture not only low resolution photos, but are unfortunate enough to lack BLU's vibrant colours, the photos taken with the G33 look faded, washed out & highly saturated, where varieties of skin tones look grey lacking life.

So in the end, the BLU G33 feels like an old handset attempting to dress up as a new handset, with the large U-drop inward camera, asymmetrical exterior & enlarged outward Camera lens & offering the use of Type-C-USB, whilst still having it's primary speaker on the exterior body facing away from the user & it's charging port being on the top of the frame offset to the right, really goes to show how this feels like an old device in a modern package.

Should you require an unlocked sub $100USD handset that runs the most recent software by late 2023 standards that uses Modern Chargers, then I suppose the G33 is for you, but using the device will require some of your patience as it takes some tens of seconds to open up apps & jitters around the app-drawer when used too aggressively. So the G33 feels like an old handset in a modern body. Usable, but not so nice to use.

[In usual BLU fashion though, the G33 comes with the nice handful of accessories such as a Clear Case, Type-A-USB Wall adapter, Type-A to Type C Chargin cable, BLU Sticker & Plastic Film Screen Protector preinstalled on the device.]

Guys, can't you see? There's a line of BLU phones. This just so happens to be the most low-end one they made, going up to the BLU bold N3. Don't complain. This is only for basic use cases.

Blu needs to stop pumping out phones with 2gb ram. In 2023, that is absolutely ridiculous and is unusable. The minimum i'd say is 4gb ram..

Blu G33 worst phone I have ever owned. All it does is fteeze up everytime. It has android 13 go edition and all updated. It says android 13 go edition requires double the ram,so why they only put 2gb ram phone.I still have 5gn storage free out of 16gb storage space. Unless someone knows how to stop the freezing up!?

                                1. I am still not able to find a user manual for this phone, and it's strange because any other phones have PDF manuals somewhere on the Internet.
Now I'm trying to find out - how to place calendar Data to the Home Screen - I see a Day time, but not a Month, Day, and Year, how it has to be..

At first, I want to say, that the card slot for the microSDXC card is working, even it was very hard to find that slot.., so now I use 128 GB Lexar card with it and am able to see my collection of photos and videos... Also, I like that this phone has a removable battery, so when is finished I will be able to buy a new one.
5 MP resolution of both cameras is a joke for 6.26" display and the quality of pictures are so bad, that I don't yet tried to shoot videos... It's not so important for me, as I got this phone to call, not to take pictures and videos.. :)
