Camera samples from Oppo Reno show off its 10x zooming

Oppo announced a new product line called Oppo Reno and it has come up with a clever way to tease its 10x zoom camera – combining a photo from the wide camera with an overlay from the zoom camera, showing just how much of a difference it makes.

The photos show replicas of famous landmarks: George Washington at Mount Rushmore, the Sphinx at Giza, Christ the Redeemer and others.

The phone is set to be unveiled in early April and is based on the prototype Oppo showed at the MWC. It will be powered by a Snapdragon 710 chipset, 6.4” 1080p+ screen and 48MP main sensor on the triple rear camera and a 16MP selfie shooter.

Here are a couple of more shots, taken with the 48MP camera in 12MP mode (with pixel binning). These were posted by Oppo VP Brian Shen.

The Oppo Reno will be available in four colors, Purple, Pink, Green and Black as we’ve seen from leaked renders.

iPhone XR hasn't even got a full HD Display, which you get in most phones that costs 20% as much...

Yeah, that halo effect around the buildings shows how much it's struggling to get real data. It's mostly "AI", i.e. guesstimated background based on templates. The thing Google does with their "AI".
