Carphone Warehouse lists Moto G6 Plus and G6 Play ahead of today's launch

It looks like the Motorola Moto G6 Plus and Moto G6 Play are close to becoming official as the pair have been listed by UK retailer Carphone Warehouse.

The listing offers the names along with a brief description but the links themselves have been taken down. Luckily the guys over at Android Police managed to procure a few official press renders of both phones. The photos are inline with what we've seen from case renders.

The Moto G6 Plus offers a 5.9-inch 18:9 display and a dual camera that recognizes landmarks and offers more information about them. From the images below we can see that there's a fingerprint scanner under the display.

There's also an LED flash above the display.

The Moto G6 Play has the same LED flash above its display but its fingerprint scanner is in a more conventional place on the back, embedded into the Moto logo.

According to Carphone Warehouse's listing, the Moto G6 Play has a 5.7-incher on the front, a "rapid-focus camera" and a long-lasting battery.

Finally, the Moto Voice BETA application has been updated to support "new features for 2018 moto g(6) and g(6) plus". The app doesn't specify anything about the features but it does reassure us that both phones are bound to become official soon. Perhaps as soon as today!

Does anyone know if the Moto G6 Plus in Carphone Warehouse is dual sim + SD Card? The G6 on amazon can have dual sim and an sd card at the same time but Carphone warehouse seems to be one sim and either another sim or an sd card, but not both.

they just had to get their brand name on the front, Samsung was able to and give more screen to body so why can't the relatively small Motorola at least in phones. the moto g series doesn't have the fun and performance they used to have. sad.
