ChatGPT Plus is getting Advanced Voice Mode for more natural conversations

OpenAI announced it is starting to roll out Advanced Voice Mode for ChatGPT Plus users. The new service offers more natural conversations, allowing for interruptions and responding to emotions.

Eligible users will receive an email with instructions on how to use the feature on the website and mobile apps. Everyone on Plus will have access to Advanced Voice Mode this fall, as the feature will be delivered on a rolling basis.

Advanced Voice Mode comes with four preset voices developed by OpenAI in collaboration with voice actors. This should make the service safer and more enjoyable for everyone, the company said.

Combined with the reading of voice emotion, we might be looking at the best voice chat service in terms of realism and natural feeling - something most AI tools are unable to achieve so far.

ChatGPT Plus is much smarter with its access to the GPT-4 large language model. The tier also offers file uploads, vision and web browsing, and DALL-E image generation. The service costs $20/month before taxes.
