ColorOS 16 and OxygenOS 16 open betas are now available if you pass an eligibility test
If you're interested in test driving Oppo's upcoming ColorOS 16 and OnePlus' OxygenOS 16, both based on Android 16, you now have a chance. Sort of.
An open beta program has seemingly started, but you can't just get in. Instead, you need to pass an eligibility quiz. You reach this by going to Settings > System & update > Software Update then hitting the three dots and choosing Beta Program.
This should work if you have a OnePlus 13, OnePlus 13R, OnePlus 13s, OnePlus Open, OnePlus 12, OnePlus 12R, Oppo Find X8, or Oppo Find X8 Pro.
That said, there may be regional restrictions in play, so this might not work across the world. As always with beta builds, we need to warn you that there will be inevitable bugs and issues, so you probably shouldn't do this on your main device.
ColorOS 16 is getting unveiled on October 15, while OxygenOS 16 will be announced just one day later on October 16. We expect official information about the rollout of the stable versions to come on those dates as well, so stay tuned.
