Confirmed: the vivo X90 will feature 120W charging, use Samsung E6/BOE Q9 displays

Today vivo officially confirmed that the vivo X90 will feature 120W fast charging. The company also revealed some details about the display – users will have a choice between Samsung E6 and BOE Q9 panels (the X80 series used E5 panels). In either case, the display will use 2,160Hz high frequency PWM dimming.

Meanwhile, TENAA has uploaded a spec sheet for the V2241A – this should be the vivo X90 – revealing yet more specs. It doesn’t name the chipset explicitly, but from Geekbench we know that it will be a Dimensity 9200. It will be paired with 8, 12 or 16GB of RAM and 128, 256 or 512GB storage.

Going back to the display for a moment, it will be a large 6.78” panel with 1,260 x 2,800px resolution (20:9). The front-facing camera will use a 32MP sensor. Hidden under the display will be a large fingerprint reader.

For the rear cameras, the X90 will feature a 50+12+12MP setup. The 50MP module will be based on the Sony IMX758, vivo has already confirmed as much. The cameras will have lenses with ZEISS T* coating and will be backed by the new vivo V2 ISP, which brings optimizations for low-light processing. One of the 12MP cameras will have an ultra wide lens, the other will offer 2x optical magnification.

The phone will measure 164.1 x 74.4 x 8.9mm and will weigh 196g, making it roughly the same size as the X80. Inside will be a 4,700mAh battery (split into two 2,345mAh cells) with 120W fasts charging.

The vivo X80 will be announced on November 22, but if you want a sneak peek, you can check out these live photos.
