Coveted OnePlus 3 update brings sRGB mode and better RAM management

The update that addresses widespread criticism on some of the choices OnePlus made for the initial release of the OnePlus 3 has started making its way to the general public. Previously rolled out to reviewers a couple of weeks ago as version 3.1.4, the new firmware is now hitting commercial units over the air.

Weighing in at just short of 400MB, OxygenOS 3.2.0 (regular users don't get the Pi version) comes with a comparatively detailed changelog, starting with the inclusion of an sRGB display mode. Color reproduction with the original tuning was perhaps the one aspect of the OnePlus 3's performance that got the most bashing, and the option to go the accurate route will be appreciated by those doing color-critical work on their phone (a rather select few, if we're to guess, but still).

The way the OnePlus 3 went about using its 6GB of RAM was another source of complaints, and tweaks in that respect come bundled in this new update. The list goes on with improved GPS performance, enhanced audio quality and camera improvements, among other things.

Now, if only our review unit had gotten the update... Or the one for reviewers' units from a fortnight ago...
