Deals: OnePlus Nord 4, Galaxy S23 FE, Moto Razr 40, Narzo 60 Pro

Last week the OnePlus Nord 4 was still on pre-order, now that’s over and the phone is available on open sale, including the cheaper 8/128GB variant. This is a throwback to the era when metal unibodies were the pinnacle of design.

The Nord 4 features a 6.74” 1240p+ OLED display (120Hz, 10-bit) and a Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 chipset. Inside is a large 5,500mAh battery with 100W fast charging (100% in 28 minutes), but no wireless – that’s the price you pay for the metal back. Anyway, there is a 50MP main camera (1/1.95”, OIS) and 8MP ultra wide on the back, plus a 16MP selfie camera on the front. The phone is rated IP65 for dust and water resistance. OnePlus is promising up to 4 OS updates.

The Samsung Galaxy S23 FE is more than half off at the moment. Keep in mind that this is the Exynos 2200 variant. The display is a 6.4” FHD+ 120Hz OLED panel with Gorilla Glass 5, the phone is rated IP68. Besides the chipset, the other issue with this model is the 4,500mAh battery, which offers pretty poor endurance. That said, you get 15W wireless charging to go with the 25W wired charging, Samsung DeX, good software support (3 more OS updates to go) and a reliable camera – 50MP main (OIS), 8MP 3x telephoto and 12MP ultra wide (123°).

We know that foldables are normally quite expensive, but last year’s Motorola Razr 40 is also more than half off. The line display on the outside and the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 aren’t ideal, but the 6.9” FHD+ LTPO OLED display is great and you get a relatively large 4,200mAh battery with both 30W wired and 5W wireless charging.

The Motorola Razr 40 Ultra is a better phone certainly, but even with a 42% discount, it’s pricier than most phones in its performance class. Of course, those phones don’t fold. Anyway, you get a much better Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset and a great 3.6” 144Hz cover display compared to the regular Razr 40.

The Realme Narzo 60 Pro is also from last year, but we couldn’t skip it when it has a 41% discount. This makes it a great option if you’re looking for a cheap 5G phone. The Dimensity 7050 chipset is pretty quick for this class and it is paired with a 100MP camera (f/1.8 lens with OIS) that can do 4K video recording (at 30fps). The 5,000mAh battery with 67W wired charging is also better than the average device in this class. Also, you get a fancy curved 6.7” FHD+ OLED display with 120Hz refresh rate and even 10-bit colors and HDR10+ support.

Okay, now for an overview of upcoming launches. The HMD Crest should come out on Tuesday, this is a new, affordable 5G phone with a Unisoc T760 chipset and a 6.67” OLED display (FHD+, 60Hz). Its claim to fame is the first 50MP selfie camera in its price class, there’s also a 50MP camera on the rear. The 5,000mAh battery charges at 33W.

Thursday will bring the Motorola Edge 50. This one has a fancy design with a curved 6.7” OLED display (FHD+, 120Hz, 10-bit) and an aluminum body with faux leather or suede back. It’s powered by a slightly overclocked Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset and a 5,000mAh battery with both 68W wired and 15W wireless charging. The camera system will give the S23 FE a run for its money with a 50MP main (1/1.56”, OIS), 10MP 3x telephoto and 13MP ultra wide (120°).

The Realme 13 Pro and 13 Pro+ are coming on Friday. We already reviewed the plus model and were left impressed with the bright display, long-lasting (and fast-charging) battery and the high quality camera arrangement – 50MP main (1/1.56”, OIS), 50MP 3x telephoto, the 8MP ultra wide was decent enough too. The Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 is a bit slow, though, and the regular Realme 13 Pro has less impressive camera hardware.

We may get a commission from qualifying sales.
