Deals: the Samsung Galaxy S24 series gets cheaper, but the S23 is still worth a look
If you feel that the Galaxy S24 wasn’t enough of an upgrade, you can get the Galaxy S23 – it even has a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset instead of an Exynos. Amazon UK has it at £600 (this is after a £150 voucher) for an 8/256GB unit and save a lot of money compared to the S24.
But before you do that, do have a look at the Galaxy S24. Its price is down to £810 for the same 8/256GB configuration (after a £50 voucher) but comes bundled with a free pair of Galaxy Buds2 Pro (worth around £200) and a Galaxy SmartTag2 (£22 or so).

Another new Samsung is the Galaxy A25. This mid-ranger runs on the old Exynos 1280, but on the plus side it has a 6.5” 120Hz AMOLED display (FHD+), a 50+8+2MP camera setup, microSD slot and 3.5mm headphone jack, plus a 5,000mAh battery with 25W charging.
As an alternative to the Galaxy S23, there’s the Nothing Phone (2). The Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 is even older, but the 6.7” FHD+ 120Hz display is an LTPO panel – something that Samsung finally added to the S24 and S24+. Also, the 50MP main camera is joined by a 50MP ultra wide (even the S24 Ultra has only a 12MP UW camera). Also, the 4,700mAh battery does fast 45W wired charging in addition to 15W wireless.
The transparent aesthetic of the phone pairs best with the Nothing Ear (2). These TWS buds are comfortable, but the audio quality and noise cancellation should have been better. Battery life was a disappointment too.
This offer crops up often enough – a Google Pixel 7a paired with a 30W charger. It’s a solid mid-ranger, though not too exciting with a 6.1” 90Hz AMOLED display (FHD+) and a 50+13MP camera, not to mention the dog slow charging (18W wired, 7.5W wireless). That said, £330 is the lowest that we’ve seen this combo.
The Honor 90 Lite is another mid-ranger, this one with a larger 6.7” 90Hz display, an IPS LCD this time. On the plus side, it has a 100MP main camera. On the downside, there’s the 5MP ultra wide. The phone is powered by the Dimensity 6020 and a 4,500mAh battery with 35W charging.
The Honor 90 upgrades to a 200MP main (1/1.4” sensor) and a 12MP ultra wide, plus a 50MP ultra wide selfie camera (100°). The 6.7” display is now a 10-bit 120Hz AMOLED (1,200 x 2,664px). The 5,0000mAh battery is bigger and faster with 66W charging.
Fans of LCD that need a new tablet can have a look at the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE and Tab S9 FE+ – 10.9” and 12.4”, respectively, both with 90Hz IPS LCDs. Both are powered by the Exynos 1380 and have 8,000mAh and 10,090mAh batteries with 45W charging. No DeX on these two, but they are rated IP68 for dust and water resistance and come with an S Pen.
If it’s a cheap tablet that you want, the Samsung Galaxy Tab A9 has an 8.7” LCD (1,340 x 800px) and runs on the Helio G99 chip. It has a microSD slot and stereo speakers. The 5,100mAh battery is small and slow (15W charging).

s24 is an s22 with only chipset upgrade. so,it makes sense to consider s23 instead of s24 today.
