Google Pixel and Pixel 2 phones get KRACK fix
Himanshu, 04 December 2017

December security update has started rolling out, and unsurprisingly, Google's Pixel smartphones have become the first devices to get it. Currently, the update is being pushed out by Verizon to both Pixel and Pixel 2 series phones on its network.

In addition to the latest security patch firmware OPM1.171019.011 also includes fix for the KRACK Wi-Fi WPA2 security vulnerability. The roll out has just begun, so it may take time for the update notification to pop up on your device, so be patient.

Returning the phone was much easier than waiting for Google to patch up the phone.
