rickC, 07 Oct 2011the Dell UI sucks, the pull down menu doesn't even allow us... moreDell Streak (5) is very good but the native UI is garbage. First thing I did was replace it. I can't tell you which replacement to use, you'll have to figure out that for yourself but there are a few on the market that are very good.

Its a great phone i am using it frm last 8 months i dnt have any issue dnt go for negtive feedback its best tab cum phone

I barely had it for two weeks and the phone has gone bad, smelled something burning not from the battery panel but from the simcard slot. Screen displayed it can't detect sim and powered off. Never turned on again. Is there any known issues abt the sim card reader overheating on this?

After talking with Rogers tech support and doing a factory reset the result was the same. He promptly shipped out a new unit which has not arrived yet. In the meantime, I removed the microSD card and all was good. Once the microSD card was inserted it would hang again. Same problem? Resolved this issue by formatting the microSD card and any corruption that had previously been on the card was wiped out with the format. Dell Streak works properly now and issue was not with the Streak, but with the supplied 16GB microSD card. Hope this helps!!

great tablet, super phone...just ignore the negative reviews...and it does not feel big as a phone after one week of use

Own dell streak 5" for 10months and the phone hang now and then all the time, glass break into pieces when from 2ft height and got one to one exchange (must pay U$230 as warranty not cover) and within a month the replacement phone got bigger problem, in particular, it will power OFF any time and refuse to ON most of the time. Battery must take out when power cannot ON. Dell refuse to replace the phone....that is dell.

Killer smart phone !! Best of the lot..
However you have to be prepared to manage its size..

guys,
avoid keeping the tablet in ur jean pocket, cus the screen always gets in touch with ur jean even the screen is locked.so the touch is active and sensor is working alltime.this leads to hang our streak and sometimes u cnt scroll down to attend the call. the device hanging problem will not occur if it was used in proper manner. and our charger port is so sensitive so handle the port with care,this is sensitive cus it comprises of 30pin port.. i have experienced these troubles but i got replacement . hope to use it in a rite way from now.. cheers :) :)

the Dell UI sucks, the pull down menu doesn't even allow user to 'on' Wifi, Bluetooth etc compare to other android phones.
