AnonD-8396, 13 May 2011I'm looking at buying the Streak 5 more for work purposes. ... moresure. It should have some notes application, or some apint like application. If not there surely is some paint/notes app on the android market place for free. It's such a simple thing almost any phone today have such a thing...an app in wich you can draw scribble freely.

its the father of all Android phones. Love the HTC sense UI, but, when it comes to performance and utility, I think the Dell Streak leaves all phones far far behind. I have had the phone for over 2 months now, and, I still haven't gotten enough of it. watching movies, playing games, surfing the net etc is a whole lot better on the Dell Streak, just coz of the huge screen. I think it does all the things are tablet is meant to do for you and on top of it, it his 2 advantages, its pocketable and can make phone calls. I was very skeptical before buying this phone myself, but, I would have been stupid if I wouldn't have bought it. whoever is thinking of buying it, trust me, just go for it.

I'm looking at buying the Streak 5 more for work purposes. My question is, does the streak have a notepad where one can actually use a stylus pen to write? I am a writer and historian and thought that having something like this would be ideal than taking a separate voice recorder and pen and paper - also lugging around a laptop which can get quite annoying. Thanks

Hi guys....i ve got dell streak 5 with 2.2 froyo and I m quite impressed with it. However theres one thing that is bothering me. Wenever I shoot videos,they always come in .3gp format which is not very clear. I hv also seen the camera settings and selected 720 ps option but then too after shooting thd video it always comes in .3gp format. Can sum1 help me in guiding how do I shoot videos in hd or mp4 format? Plssssss.

I have had issues with 1.6 conversion to 2.2, It was due to the Sales Group's ignorance of the function keys..They are found in/on, the Volume and Camera buttons..pressing simultaneously will lead you to several menus all of which can correct and even re-boot your system..The Dell Streak? LOVE IT...learn more every day...

Anonymous, 04 May 2011i just got mine a few days ago and they did not give me the... moreUpdates for the Streak are available OTA (Over The Air) If you are wanting to upgrade from 1.6 to 2.1 or 2.2 try going to "SETTINGS" all the to the bottom "ABOUT PHONE" then select "SYSTEM UPDATES". With mine, AT&T locked, mine indicated that there were no updates available. However, knowing the 2.2 Froyo had been available for quite some time, I searched various sites/forums until I found a link that would allow me to upgrade mine to the 2.2 Froyo.
