Well the size of the phone may be big, but that is what a headset is for.

Still undecided as of yet, the big screen is definately a drawing point for me, but where do you draw the line between netbook and phone.

good phone. But actually I don't want to take a call using this phone. It is like plate for me. Phonescreen becomes wider and wider. How about in 2020? Is there going to a phone with 14" or even 42"?? Wew.. so heavy

Things come and things go but some things choose to stay and nokia n97 is one of those things.no matter what the tech specs chart speak today, they are just add ons to what n97 already offers.nothing can beat it.its complete and perfect.
whats the use of such a huge screen and huge memory if you cant watch a complete movie on it.m speaking of dell streak nad nokia n8.how can they forget to include a kickstand, what a miss!so no matter how much you love your phone you wont be able to hold it longer than 15 mins to watch a video, forget about watching movies.surfing web on my n97 is a sheer pleasure and the experience has been like no other.you can type email on it faster than any qwerty device in the market, thanks to its sit tilt and slide screen.and with nice software upgrades,it has got even better, more free ram and snappier performance.the audio quality with correct equalizer settings will definitely bewilder you.give it a try.
and am happy that its no more into production cause such beautiful things beed to be rare.n97 still befits the Kings' throne,N8 is just a flagshp..or you can say a prototype for testing their new os sym^3.

This one seems great device, rather than having phone, and MID, its convenient to carry single dell streak. Can anyone tell when it will available in Hong Kong ?

This device is just perfect, a screen that can fit in your pocket (if you cant you'd have to be one of the Bee Gees) and Android. Now even more work can be done with that screen.

Andrew McJannett-Smi, 27 May 2010I think this is the missing link... just what the market is... moreI totally agree with u Andrew .. But again .. I know it's big .. for sure it won't suite everyone.

My concerns now are RAM and Camera.

256MB of RAM is bit tight .. specially for an android running device. But may be it would be ok with FroYo (and future versions) with all the performance enhancements.

Also, to replace your digital camera, you'll need a descent image quality (at least for an MID). Check the following camera samples (taken by a Streak):

I think this is the missing link... just what the market is after, because I am in the market for a device that can do everything.. So far Apple have come up short on the iPad & iTouch (No phone, No Camera, No Video, No Multi Tasking, No Flash support) The iPhone comes up short on No Video or front facing camera, No Multi Tasking, No Flash support).. The HTC devices like the Desire come up a little short of perfect, because of the lack of Data frequencies that can be used all over the world, you have to buy a US version for high speed 3G in the USA or a UK spec one for high speed 3G in Europe.

                                        This for me replaces:

                                        iTouch 64Gb 3 Gen
                                        Fuji 5 Mega Pixel Camera
                                        NavMan Satnav

And these are gadgets I carry with me all the time, because I can not find one gadget to do them all until now..

The iPad is too BIG at 10", you can not slip that in your pocket, the iPad is also not a great internet device as publicised due to the lack of Flash support which a lot of Internet websites and video's use until support for HTML 5 comes in to play on the internet in a year or two.

The sub 4" screens found on most mobiles are too small to use and are bad for your eyes.

So this is the closest gadget we are likely to see that ticks all the boxes, even to use as a phone, yes it is too big and would look a bit silly, but if you use it with a Bluetooth earpiece or a car kit, the phone can just sit nicely in your pocket.

Well done Dell 10/10 for effort.
