I been using XCD35 over a year. Recently, touch sensors got out of function but the display works good. Can it be fixed?

I am on verge of throwing this phone. its slow. emails have stopped working. dialing takes forever. battery drains out in 5-6 hrs even without using the phone. people call ame and give full rings but i never get missed call. its on android 2.2.
i heard that putting android 2.6 or 2.7 would solve few problems. also, flashing with cyno* would help too. please guide.

Excellent phone in this range. iam using this phone since sep'2011. touch is awesome. camera is good during day light. negatives in this phone is panel colour will go soon if not maintaned properly.

Best phone @ its range. been using this phone since May 2011. No issues till now. Sadly started having touchscreen issues since few weeks.
It came with Android 2.1. It was so laggy that rooted it in 3rd month of buying and flashed with CM 7 first but then moved on to Konstat's Swedish Snow RLS7.
Swedish Snow is the best ROM [2.3.7] for this phone. amazingly smooth and fast.
Though now using Konstat's 4.1.2 mod of CM10 [a few bugs but still amazing].

its very bad.phone...so pls never ever think of buying it..the service center is charcing me rs6000 for a new display....and touch is very bad...and very slow.....

I had purchased XD35 last year, within 3 months its starts problem with touch screen is that first problem: below corner of the panel was out in this time 9,6 & icon etc. was not functioning, then gradually (within 6-8 months) its spread like cancer, then touch panel became fully out of order means even cannot make on or off, that is the situation now, now mobile kept as a show piece.

A pity DELL did not further develop on the mobile handset segment. The XCD 35 with me has been doing well since the time I bought it in Sep 2011.I guess DELL items are generally more suitable for the nerdly inclined.

its d best fone... my brother is using xcd35 for the last 1 year... its d best fone in that range, better dan HTC Chacha and nokia Lumia 510(i hav dem both)

Please dont buy this phone, because DELL is experimenting on their brand name on mobile sales. So this mobile is made in china and DELL stickers are pasted on it, seriously. Now I facing touch screen problem within 6 months of usage. the service will take 25 days!!! itseems!! and they will replace the set with new one if it doesn't work. but tell you what the warranty is same the old set itself!!. Dont think of buying.

Had bought the phone in May 2011 so become very slow by now. Finally flashed CyanogenMod 7.2. Running buttery smooth now. Plus improved battery and wifi performance.
