Detailed Motorola Moto Edge X40 specs surface thanks to TENAA certification
The Moto Edge X40 made an appearance on the Chinese TENAA certification website a couple of days ago the listing only contained a few shots and limited specs. Now TENAA has updated it to include most of the phone's details.
The handset will run on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC chipset and offer a 144Hz 6.67-inch slightly curved OLED screen. Memory options go from 8GB to 18GB while storage variants start at 128GB and go up to 512GB.
Motorola XT2301-5, likely the Moto X40 (and later the Edge 40 Pro)
We expect three cameras on the back - a 50MP main one, a 50MP ultrawide one and a 12MP telephoto unit. Last year the X30 Pro had a 12MP telephoto unit with 2x optical zoom, so it's likely that the vanilla X40 will inherit that.
The whole system draws power from a 5,000 mAh battery that supports 68W charging and expectedly, the X40 series will launch with Android 13 pre-installed.
The specs are further confirmed by another Chinese certification platform as the listed device has a model number XT2301-5.
As of now, we don't have any solid info on when to expect the new Moto X40 family, but given the frequency of leaks, it might be sooner than expected. For context, the Moto Edge X30 was released back in December 2021.

Motorola, i have used some of your phones but most of it all is batter problem and the phone gets heated Data is switched on or when you are browsing and you don't have any issues on camera side....but i guess your phones are good.

Well i am like that. Hope they ditch that stupid curved screen. Also a 200 mpix camera along with 210W charging or so should be velcomed. If they add battery equal or bigger than Oukitel WP19 have it would be like a dream phone.

Snapdragon 8 gen 2 and UFS 4.0 and better battery life due to great optimization for Global variant.
