Dock-less Google Pixel Tablet is now available to order for $399
Last month we first heard about Google relaunching its Pixel Tablet without the bundled speaker dock, then its purported price got leaked. Today, alongside the surprise announcement of the Pixel 8a smartphone, Google has also confirmed those rumors.
You can now get the Pixel Tablet without the dock, and at a significant discount no less. With the dock, the tablet starts at $499, but you can now order one without the dock for $399. That is for the version with 128GB of storage, if you want 256GB it will be $499.
Of course if you find the dock useful, then this won't make any difference to you, but we have a hunch that a lot of people would gladly take the $100 price cut instead. If you order a dock-less Pixel Tablet today, Google says you can expect it at your doorstep in the US starting on May 14.
Why it took Google so long to offer this dock-less option for its tablet is beyond us, but at least it's finally here. In the UK, the price is £399 for 128GB of storage and £519 for 256GB, while in the EU it's €499 for 128GB, and €619 for 256GB (those prices are still £100 / €100 less than with the dock, by the way).
Aside from its docklessness, this is the same Pixel Tablet that's been available since last June, coming with a 10.95-inch 1600x2560 LCD touchscreen, the Tensor G2 chipset, 8GB of RAM, an 8 MP rear camera, an 8 MP front-facing camera, and a 7,020 mAh battery with support for 15W wired charging.

No refresh, just unbundling. Basically Google discounting inventories to sell them off. Basically Google quit Android tablet already.
