took it for a swim only about 20min. leaked. battery swelled. completely DEAD!!

The great thing about this phone is that it's easily repairable, since it is held together by screws, not glued together. I've replaced a battery, microphone, and the USB charging board. Parts are readily available.

Of course it's heavy it's an armored phone. Weighs no more than other high-capacity armored phones, weighs less than my last Ulefone.
Phone thrown repeatedly to tile, concrete and wood floor to prove a point about armoured phones, many dings and dents because the extruded aluminum is quite soft, functions fine screen perfect, plastic parts of the case too hard to be absorbers, bad design, port recessed for waterproof seal prevents most cables; thrown into a 3m swimming pool (with chlorine!) and left 10 minutes; use american and japanese global sim simultaneously, underwater camera filter mode surprisingly useful.
NOT infrared just a infrared-sensitive Sony IMX 20MP sensor; other than doing bad things with your phone (and the near-IR LEDs are visibly red so you'd best be sneaky or you'll get your butt kicked you pervert) - not sure exactly what this is for, other than marketing. Makes for weird looking human/animal pics in the dark.
Helio G90 surprisingly fast and plays modern games just fine, USB-C is only 2.0 not 3, but functions fine for external DAC at 24-bit/192kHz, 6300mAh battery quite small for such a powerhouse GPU/CPU pair, will last a week just texting, but only a few hours 3D gaming.
Wireless charger needs to be the kind that can work on thick cases; most Qi chargers I have will not work! Only 10W anyway - Doogee supplied fast-charger is quite fast! Samsung QC2/3 won't trip 9V/12V fast charge but Asus fast charge will.
Great phone for the price, use it 10+hrs day, everyday, since Single's Day 11-NOV-2020 order; all throughout the COVID pandemic; rain, shine, bright sunlight, freezing cold, snow ice.
Left it on the beach in 100*F heat with a solar charger and a bunch of other phones, the charger died, my phone charged other people's devices til mine powered off. Not fair, do not like that aspect of automatic OTG reverse charging connections! But, goes to show you the durability.
I cannot vouch for any phone but my copy of the S96Pro, and mine is a battleship and I don't even think about it breaking. I will definitely buy another Doogee, and another one after that!

Phone fell from 2 feet and screen cracked, charging port and head phone jack in deep notch, stops connection from fitting correctly. Bad design. Very heavy, not practical.
