After less than a year, the charging slot protection, broke. This made the phone loose its waterproof capabilities, leaving the charging plug unprotected. Shortly after, the touch sensor broke and it needs to be replaced. After just about stuff months, it's a poor result , the life expectancy of this phone, after one full year is expected to be poor

It has a 256x192 Infiray thermal sensor. Focus range is usable up to 1.5m.
The best you will get at $386, dollars in all.
For Macro get the 8mm Infiray focusable unit for usb-c instead.
It's a good phone- you won't be disappointed. GPS reception is very good..
Forget about FM radio- who wants that anyway.

When I got my V20 pro for the first month the thermal camera worked fine, but for the last 2 month's it just freezes on the loading screen and I haven't turned off any permissions and I've cleared it's cache and there's no updates! Anybody know anything, I can't seem to find a user manual or troubleshooting solutions! Thanks

FM-Radio doesn't work. Due to lack of 3,5 mm jack. All the radio APPs require a headphone cable as antenna - and my USB-C headphone isn't recognised as antenna. So FM may be built in but doesn't work.

Other issue is the presence of an IR-night-vision-camera-light that can't be turned to an IR-blaster. That should be possible by software but no App does this

The most recent thermal cameras have a 256x192 resolutions, which is four times of what the pre generation had.
To say in the specs, that this phone has 8Mpix its kind of pointless, because the only interesting thing would be it's native resolution not some pointless upscale.

Anonymous, 17 Jun 2023what is the resolution of its thermal imaging camera? the w... moreWell, you are quite right, thermal is not of that resolution it seems.
Looking at hands on reviews on youtube, it looks quite low res, so I guess some sharpening using other cameras is done.
I have seen some 320x240 or so usbc thermal camera for phones with 30fps which was for about 1000 euro.
Though this thermal tech made this lind of sensors very user friendly and affordable, basic hw cost are still there.
The same like you cannot get the original wh-1000xm5 for 35euro, you won't get 1000euro hw to 400euro phone.
Sharpening looks better to the eyes tho.
But I still wonder if they are the only ones to do that, sadly, not so many IR or Thermal oriented phones are here reviewed on GSMArena.
Like I'm very interested for 64mp IR shots in day, or if it can do raw.

Anonymous, 17 Jun 2023what is the resolution of its thermal imaging camera? the w... moreIts also different in the range, but it say it goes from -15.
Part may be new tech, but better image blending also helps, it looks better after all.
How it is close to reality makes me interested too.

what is the resolution of its thermal imaging camera? the website says 1440x1080 but that is impossible. also i would like someone to confirm that the temperature range is only -10 -> +150, and not up to 550 like the s98 pro.
