DxOMark gives the Sony Xperia XA2 Ultra an overall score of 75

Ivan, 05 July 2018

DxOMark Image Labs has completed its review of the Sony Xperia XA2 Ultra, released way back in February, and given it an overall score of 75. That's not a lot and puts the Xperia XA2 Ultra just below the Samsung Galaxy A8 (2018). That's not where you'd expect a 23MP camera with a big 1/2.3" sensor to be.

In its detailed report DxOMark praised the Xperia XA2 Ultra for its good exposure, pleasant color rendition with a flash and low noise in textured areas. But it took points away for the varying detail levels, noise in monotone areas and limited dynamic range.

The photo score of 75 was higher than the video score of 74 - clips were praised for good exposure and pleasant colors, but also exhibited poor detail.
