Entire iPhone 18 lineup to get upgraded selfie cameras, new report claims
A few hours ago we heard that the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max would come with a smaller hole punch for their selfie cameras, which, according to past rumors, would be paired with under-display Face ID tech.
Now a new report from analysts at JP Morgan claims that all iPhone 18 models will also get a 24MP selfie camera. That's a bump up in resolution from the current generation's 18MP shooter.
Interestingly, the 24MP selfie camera was previously rumored for the iPhone 17 lineup, but didn't happen - and now it seems like it just got postponed to next year.
The iPhone Fold will even have an under-display 24MP selfie camera for its folding screen, the same source goes on to say. On the other hand, the iPhone 17e and iPhone 18e will continue to be stuck with a 12MP selfie snapper.
The iPhone Air 2, iPhone 18 Pro, and iPhone 18 Pro Max are expected to launch next September, while the iPhone 18 and iPhone 18e will only arrive in spring 2027.
