Essential Phone drop test yields unexpected results

The Essential Phone is finally available in the US and Canada, following many delays and a protracted pre-order period. YouTube channel JerryRigEverything is known for its scratch, burn, and bend tests and doesn't usually perform drop tests, but made an exception this time around for the Essential Phone, because it's built with materials not usually seen in handheld devices: titanium (the frame) and ceramic (on its back).

Ceramic is thought to be more brittle than glass, so you'd expect the Essential Phone's back to crack. But no, it simply refuses to. On the other hand, the Gorilla Glass front isn't as fortunate and after the last drop is pretty much ruined. It's an interesting finding, undoubtedly, but you shouldn't take it too seriously since this is obviously anything but a scientific test.
