Eten outs the Glofiish X650

11 Jan, 2008

Lately Eten have been gaining popularity thanks to their feature packed devices with reasonable price tags. The Eten Glofiish X650 is their latest PocketPC which boasts a host of high-end features in a moderately sized body. The X650 seems like it's closing the gap between the X600 and the X800 PocketPCs by Eten.

The Eten Glofiish X650 runs on a 500 MHz Samsung processor and measures 107 x 58 x 14.7 mm exactly as its predecessor the Eten Glofiish X600. The X650 has quad-band GSM/EDGE support and its 2.8-inch touchscreen TFT display now features VGA resolution. There is a 2 megapixel autofocus camera plus built-in GPS receiver (SiRF Star III), Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and a FM radio. For some regions there will even be a built-in FM transmitter. The only thing that lacks here is obviously 3G but that would surely be accounted for by the price tag.

The 256MB internal storage memory can be expanded through the microSD memory card slot, but unfortunately the available RAM has a fixed, rather moderate amount of 64MB.

The Glofiish X650 is offered in two color choices, black and purple, and should be available worldwide in two to three weeks. Pricing is still unknown.

A Good Phone Considering VGA Resolution & Sirf Star III GPS but with less RAM (could have been atleast 256 MB) and Slow Processor (a dual processor could have been nice) and without 3G+ it's bummer....

@ all RAM comments: RAM is limited by chipset used so far in Eten devices. This is why I have not bought any Eten device.
