Ex-employees under scanner in Hacking Team breach probe

Himanshu, 18 July, 2015

Six ex-employees of the Italy-based spy software firm Hacking Team are now being probed by the prosecutors in connection with the company's recent security breach that saw hackers allegedly stealing a whopping 400GB of data, according to a Reuters report.

Interestingly, those being investigated now are already being probed for revealing Hacking Team's industrial secrets, an accusation that was levelled by the company's Chief Executive David Vincenzetti back in May this year. Both investigations have now been combined, the report notes.

This comes less than a week after Vincenzetti said he suspected a foreign government was behind the cyberattack.
