Exynos 2400 chipset reportedly coming with 10-core CPU

Samsung released the Galaxy S23 series last week, which all have Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipsets. The Korean maker did not launch its own Exynos platform for the flagships, but it is still working on one, according to the latest rumors.

Ice Universe, known for their accurate info about Samsung products, revealed there is an Exynos 2400 in the pipelines. The CPU of the chipset will move on from the octa-core architecture and will have 10 cores - 1x Cortex-X4 + 2x Cortex-A720 (higher frequency) + 3x Cortex-A720 (lower frequency) + 4x Cortex-520.

There is no information on which smartphone this eventual chipset might power - the foldables, usually launched in summer have used Qualcomm chipsets since their inception. Given how Exynos 2100 arrived in 2021 for the S21 series and Exynos 2200 followed suit a year later, it is reasonable to expect Exynos 2400 in twelve months for the Galaxy S24 lineup.
