Fairphone 2 modular smartphone to get Marshmallow update soon
The Fairphone 2 modular smartphone, which was unveiled and launched a couple of years ago, will soon start getting the Marshmallow update (version 6.0). This was revealed by the company in a post on its official website, although an exact date/week wasn't revealed.
"This upgrade will offer Fairphone owners better security, longer battery life, and improved functionality, to name just a few of the advantages," the post said. For more details on the changes included in the update, head to the Source link at the bottom.
To refresh, the Fairphone 2 - as already mentioned - is a modular phone. But what actually makes it different is that most of its components are sourced from conflict-free mines.
