Flipkart survey: people love notches, want high-performance chipsets
Flipkart partnered with First Post to conduct “India’s biggest smartphone survey” and here’s what they found regarding user’s feature preferences and the difference between Gen X and millennials. Be warned that there’s a non-zero chance this is a promotion for the upcoming Realme 2.
Flipkart's survey shows people want fast chipsets above all
It seems like Indians young and old love the notch. And performance is the most important factor by far. This is where they diverge – millennials (18-30) want a good camera, Gen X (30-45) wants long battery life.
But looking at the statistics, camera and battery aren’t that important. The top “must-have” feature – with an overwhelming 57% of the votes – was performance.
Black, Blue and Red are the preferred colors
As for colors, Black is the most popular option with 51% of the vote, then comes Blue with about half that and finally Red with 10%.
That red "real" in "reality" sure is suspicious
Anyway, it’s this last bit that makes us think this survey is really a way to drum up interest in the soon to be announced Realme 2 by Oppo.

I can't believe this. I hate notches with a vengeance. It totally spoils the look of a phone.
