Flyme 10 brings modern look, more customization and improved AI engine

Meizu held a big launch event yesterday where it announced it Meizu 20 series phones alongside their latest Flyme 10 interface. The new Android-based firmware brings a visual overhaul dubbed Alive Design with a modernized look including new icons, widgets, menu designs and wallpapers.

The core system apps also receive a makeover and the signature Meizu small window mode for apps received new two-finger and long press gestures. Flyme 10 brings the Meizu OneMind 10 AI engine which promises improved frame rates, less system space usage and improved stability compared to prior versions. The Aicy digital assistant now supports smart scanning and picture and video text recognition in real-time.

Meizu also shared that a Flyme 10 beta is coming to the Meizu 18 duo and Meizu 18s series in early April, followed by a stable release in May. In addition, Meizu 17 series and Meizu 18X will get the beta in late April while the stable version is expected in June.

I think it's different enough to not face the same sort of issues. Flyme is (or was) significantly different from other Chinese skins.

Honestly Flyme 10 looks interesting, I really want to try it but am super wary after having nothing but dissatisfaction from using my Xiaomi, from really weird "features" like wiping notifications and no notifications if using a custom them...

I've been a huge fan of Flyme OS ever since Flyme 5 back in 2014/2015. Their icons from 9 years ago honestly still looks as modern as today's UI, if not even more modern imo. I actually prefer the old Flyme UI, their design language at...
