Froyo-running, QWERTY-packing Samsung I5510 spotted at IFA

3 September, 2010

The Galaxy Tab was the star of the Samsung show at IFA, but look who else showed up at the party. The Samsung I5510 appeared on the Vodafone booth touting Android 2.2 Froyo and a slide-out QWERTY keyboard.

It hasn't been announced officially so it was a surprise appearance. The Samsung I5510 has a four row slide-out QWERTY keyboard - a first for European droids from Samsung. Samsung are unwilling to reveals more details about it, beside the fact it's going to be Vodafone-exclusive at launch.

Anyway, I5510 runs Android 2.2 Froyo and has 3G connectivity. Wi-Fi and Bluetooth apparently are also on the Samsung I5510 spec sheet as is a microSD card slot.

We'll have to wait until Samsung officially announces this potential new member of the Galaxy lineup, before we have all the specs. The Samsung I5510 is said to be targeting the 200 euro price point.
