Sprint Samsung Galaxy Note 3 now getting Android 4.4 KitKat

20 February, 2014

If you are using a Sprint-bound Samsung Galaxy Note 3, we have some great news for you. In case you didn't get the notification, the latest Android 4.4 KitKat firmware awaits you.

The update is available over-the-air and is about 500MB in size. It will make your device faster, your TouchWiz better, bring you camera shortcut and music album art for your lockscreen, minor UI changes, plus improved stability.

You can check for updates via your Settings, About menu. It should be there in a few hours at the latest.

The Android 4.4 Kitkat for the Galaxy Note 3 has already rolled out in various markets and carriers worldwide and hopefully Samsung will soon bring every Galaxy Note 3 phablet out there to the latest Android version. We hope the newly released KitKat updates also include the yesterday's bug fix for making third-party S-View cases working again.
