Galaxy S8 pre-orders to exceed Note7's 400,000, Samsung predicts

George, 21 March 2017

Samsung expects Galaxy S8 pre-order figures to top the Note7's from six months ago, Korean media reveals. 400,000 units of the phablet that wasn't meant to be were sold in the 13 days prior to official release last year, and the S8 duo should exceed that.

The pre-order period starts on April 7 and pre-ordered devices should be in the hands of buyers on April 18, a few days ahead of the April 21 retail launch date. Sources say that Samsung has decided to come out with subsidy plans for the new smartphones even before the pre-order kick-off date.

You're being missed

The projected high initial demand makes all the sense in the world - after all, those disappointed potential Note7 buyers are eager to spend their money somewhere.

The Galaxy S8 and S8+ are set to be unveiled on March 29 - the wait is drawing to an end.

While I was waiting for a note 7, and I would buy one if it wasnt for battery issues, I've no interest to replace my note 4 with s8. I'm not waiting for note 8 either, for one simply reason - dont like the direction samsung has taken with design/buil...

Yeah, i too postponed my next update just to see what Note 8 brings to table. As a previous Note owner i know what advantages that S-Pen has and now waiting for the next Note to arrive.
