Arch, 11 Mar 2010They officially announced the price in Thailand yesterday. ... moreYou think Thai maps are expensive, think again, when I tell you that Darmojah, which is the sole agent in Saudi Arabia, charges $200 for their Saudi Maps.

They officially announced the price in Thailand yesterday. Converted to USD, without car kit = $438, with car kit = 526. Cheaper than Nuvi 7xx here.

Price for other country should be lower because they included Thai map that considered very expensive when purchase separately comparing to map for other country.

I saw this phone last night, at a presentation the Garmin representative of Saudi Arabia, had introducing a range of Garmin products and the M10 was one of these products. It look really nice and sleek.

It will be available in Saudi in about six weeks, and it will be supplied with a Saudi Arabian desert maps. The bundle will be priced at around $500. Not bad considering that the local agent “Darmoja” will install the latest local maps including desert tracks points of interest in the barren deserts of Saudi Arabia as well as desert refuelling locations and areas where a GSM signal may be available Arabia..

I will certainly add one of these gadgets in my collection when it becomes available.

Fiona, 11 Feb 2010Heard that the phone is using the same software as Garmin's... moresame as Garmin's GPS. Which means free navigation without data cost from the telecommunication companies. Thats cool.

Heard that the phone is using the same software as Garmin's professional navigation device. Drivers ? GPS users ? should be interested.

Nokia has also arm 11 600mhz processor in n900 but it is very fast. I think it is faster than I phone 3GS With the same processor. By the way 4gb memory is not much if u compare to this. Nokias newest smart phones have 32gb inner storage and a place to 16gb memorucard.

Despite being the CPU being only 600mhz, the phone is still fast. It's not using the same architecture as the Qualcomm 7201A CPU you saw in last generation Windows Mobile Phones, but an ARM Cortex based CPU similar to the Snapdragon. It has the same exact specs as the Snapdragon, the only difference is that it's clocked a little slower, but it's still leagues faster than last generation phones. Even faster the the Iphone 3GS and on par with the N900.

Ram does not make your phone faster. If you have ram then it means you can run more programs but your processor is the one that is working those programs so even if u have shizloads of ram then it still might run slow.
ALSO, my 600 mhz processor w/graphics accelerator in nokia n900 runs my phone just as fast, if not faster, than a 1ghz processor in nexus one

some ppl r just so narrow minded 600mhz arm cortex will nt be slow nor drain d battery!performance depends more on amount of RAM than mhz of cpu!while im at it if the software is optimized well than 128mb is aplenty just look at iphone 3g or nokia5800!

Speed is determined by OS,Processor and Memory and also the applications one is using. So having a 600MHZ processor doesnt mean it will be slow than 1GHz processor.

Nice phone but still I would like to have it a 1Ghz Processor and a 3.5mm audio jack....... If these were there then it will be a rocking phone........

CPU is not just the matter for speed. It will not be slow by 512MB RAM.
