Correction: Max baud rate is 4800. Anything over doesn't work. The GPS light will still blink but it doesn't pick up any signal.

TomTom works on WM6 without the use of GPSGate. Set it to COM5, max baud rate 38400. Thanks to "Green Apple".

If you are using traditional chinese, you can now upgrade to WM6 FREE. Hopefully, english will be next. THIS IS FOR TRADITIONAL CHINESE ONLY!!! You will mess up your i300 if you upgrade from non a traditional chinese unit.

well i bought this one from ebay i like it a lot, the funny thing it came with 2 920mah batteries? one of hte AU ebay sites said it comes with 1 920 and 1300? that would be very nice... the phone is fine if you dont use wifi or gps or camera all of those devices eat up battery power quick, same as if you stayed on the phone for a few hours which wouldnt last now would it? but you would expect, a better battery all around...
GPS is picky, need some other software or download the demo from the site manu, it has many options to set it up, the proper settings and auto dected them
I was disapointed to find out that the review sits had those software but the ENG does not have some of it, just the basic stuff, also some places state FM and EDGE, but i doubt that i have only seen GPRS connections?
Other problem is accessories, you can find for the i120 lots and the i but not this... i want the 1300 battery and case/holster
i hope the come out with a new rom, maybe give some other software or something...
all in all its worth the price, other devices you have to spend 100-200 more for same basic spects

I recieved my i300 two days ago and it is awesome! If you are looking at getting yourself a smartphone I would say go for it. I do have a few issues with this handset though and would like to state a few of them. 1. The batteries (2 supplied) are rubish! Even though I am a heavy user and have not put it down since I got it, I would say that even in normal use the battery life would be insufficient, way insuficient! 2. No 3.5mm headphone jack! 3. The silver 5 way button on the front is fiddely. Even though this handset can play JAVA games the buttons make it nearly impossible to play most of my Sony Ericsson K800i games.
My list of things I like about is much longer though and I will try to keep it short. GPS awesome(much better than Nok N95. I work in a phone shop)! Fast! Good size! Very well priced!
I really love this handset and if I don't kill the batteries in the first 6 months I expect it to last me quite some time.

Any i300 owner have TomTom install? The dumb thing doesn't pickup the build-in GPS without GPSGate. They are going to release a new ROM soon. Hope that will fix the problem.

Yes I do, and you should just wait for awhile so Tomtom can auto detect it. Btw, why not use iGO? Better, I think!
